Customisable ribbon straps for a mother or grandmother
Fun, Activity, All About Me & Bygone Days are all components on the Faab Blanket. The top layer is 100% cotton designed fabric. The next layer is quilting batting offering warmth completed with an antipil fleece. The blanket measures 21” x 23” approximately.
All blankets are handmade with the same components included, only colour and design may vary.
All colours chosen are dementia sensitive and have been researched to avoid any adverse reactions for your loved one.
Calico Case:
The blanket comes in a lovely calico cotton case.
The pocket contains the Faab booklet full of useful information.
The cotton case can be personalised by your loved one with their name or a drawing, using the pen provided.
the ribbon straps can be customised for a mother, father, grandmother or grandfather.
FUN
FUN:
Each part of this section has been chosen to offer a sensory and fun element.
A hairbrush and mirror which can be removed, used to brush hair or just to feel the sensation the brush offers
A musical wristband which can be worn and has a fleece lining for comfort. This is secured with velcro.
The female blanket has a vibrant pink dress, padded and sewn onto felt.
A padded handbag is attached with ribbon in addition to a hairclip in bright colours. The hairclip can be removed and worn throughout the day.
The male version has a padded vehicle which can be moved to the stop sign. This can be fun and reminder of road signs.
A feather is included to offer a shared fun activity.
A pouch containing lavender is attached and this is can be removed and smelt safely.
Laughter is a key indicator of well-being.

A familiar activity has been chosen for both male and female versions.
The female version has a pocket containing a sewing square.
There is also a plastic needle and 3 colour wools.
This activity can be repeated many times and offers familiarity and reassurance to your loved one.
The male version has a shirt in vibrant colours which can be buttoned and opened many times.
There is a colourful felt dicky bow tie clipped onto the shirt which can be removed and worn whenever your loved one chooses.

This pocket really is all about your loved one, their name, family and friends and their likes and dislikes.
There is also a small clear pocket for family or personal photos.
Having this information readily available to carers will give your loved one a true sense of identity and a feeling of being loved.
It can be especially comforting to your loved one if they are planning to reside in a Nursing Home.
These details can be completed by your loved one, a family member or a carer.
